The Chelsea forward called it “mind-boggling” to represent the club, and that word carries weight. He is not talking like someone overwhelmed by the badge or the noise around Stamford Bridge. He sounds energised by it. “10, I’ve enjoyed it. I’m feeling as good as I’ve ever felt playing, contributing, scoring goals, assists, creating chances, as good as I ever have done in my career. So why would it not be a 10?” That is not PR language. That is a footballer telling you he believes he belongs.
