Inter are actively exploring a move for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the Serie A side may need to sell Luis Henrique first to create the financial room required.
The Italian club’s midfield planning has shifted in recent days. Davide Frattesi’s situation has opened space in the squad, but the structure of that deal has not delivered the immediate funds Inter had initially hoped for. That appears to have increased the urgency around raising further cash before making their full push for Jones.

Inter transfer plan centres on Curtis Jones
Jones is described as a player specifically wanted by Cristian Chivu, and that alone gives this story weight. Inter’s recruitment work seems clear, they see the Liverpool midfielder as a serious target rather than a passing market opportunity. The key issue is price.
Liverpool’s stance has reportedly been firm for much of the window, with an asking price of €40 million attached to a player whose contract runs until 2027. However, the report suggests there has now been some softening in that position. Inter believe time in the market could work in their favour, especially if Liverpool become more conscious of protecting value before the final stretch of the window.
Even so, the expectation from Italy is that any eventual deal would be difficult to complete below €35 million. For Inter, then, the aim is straightforward, stay under €40 million and improve liquidity before formalising the attempt.
Luis Henrique sale could unlock Liverpool talks
That is where Luis Henrique comes into the picture. Roma have already been in discussions over the Brazilian, with his overall valuation set at around €30 million including bonuses. Yet the formula remains unresolved, and Roma are currently prioritising their attacking department.
Inter, for their part, appear open to accelerating an exit if it helps bring clarity to the Jones pursuit. There is also mention of movement…
