Arsenal have turned their focus towards Victor Osimhen as they look to add another high-level attacking option before the transfer window closes, with the Nigeria international now understood to be the leading name on the club’s shortlist.
The north London side have already strengthened key areas of Mikel Arteta’s squad with the arrivals of Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes. Even so, there remains a strong appetite inside the club to add further firepower. Arsenal explored ambitious moves for Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Jr earlier in the window, but with those pursuits failing to materialise, attention has shifted elsewhere.
As first reported by Sebastien Denis, Arsenal now regard Osimhen as their priority attacking target. The indication is that Arteta has made his preference clear to the recruitment department, and there is confidence a deal can be put together if the conditions align.
