Tottenham have been presented with the possibility of signing Victor Osimhen this summer, according to TeamTalk, in a development that speaks to the scale of their current ambition and the financial choices still to come in north London.
Roberto De Zerbi has already overseen an aggressive recruitment drive, with Spurs moving decisively in defence and midfield after a summer outlay in excess of £235 million. Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes are among the arrivals, and the focus is now shifting towards the forward line. A winger remains the immediate priority, with Savinho understood to be among the names under consideration, but the situation around a central striker is more nuanced.
Osimhen has reportedly been offered to Tottenham as his camp explores Premier League interest. The Nigeria international only joined Galatasaray permanently a year ago in a deal worth €75 million, so any fresh move would require substantial investment. That would apply both to a transfer fee and to salary, with the forward currently said to be earning around £309,000 a week, or roughly £247,000 a week after local tax.
For Spurs, that is where this opportunity becomes complicated. There is admiration for Osimhen across the game and his profile is well established, but any move would almost certainly require an exit first. In practical terms, that points towards one of Richarlison or Dominic Solanke making way.
At present, there is no strong indication that either player is close to leaving. That matters. Tottenham are not expected to force the issue quickly, particularly when their wider attacking plans still place significant emphasis on adding width and versatility. If De Zerbi lands a winger capable of operating through the middle as well, the need for a specialist No 9 could soften considerably.
