Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has spoken out on the Michael Olise transfer saga and more or less completely ruled out selling him for any price.
Olise has been in superb form for Bayern this season, establishing himself as one of the very finest attacking players in world football.

The France international has a total of 22 goals and 26 assists in all competitions for Bayern, helping them win the Bundesliga title, while they’re also arguably the favourites for the Champions League as they prepare to take on PSG in the semi-finals.
It’s perhaps not surprising that this has led to interest in Olise, but Rummenigge has made it clear that the club’s unwritten policy is to never sell an important player for any price.

“In 2009, we had an incredible offer from Chelsea for Franck Ribery. At the time, it would have been a new world transfer record,” Rummenigge told t-online.

“I then went to our then CFO, Karl Hopfner, and Uli Hoeness with this offer. We discussed it for two hours, trying to figure out what to do with it. That day, we made a fundamental decision: that in the future, we would never sell a player we would miss on the pitch.
“This unwritten rule still applies today. For a player like Olise, there’s no price tag that would make us flinch.”
Michael Olise transfer blow for Liverpool
Liverpool will bid farewell to the legendary Mohamed Salah at the end of this season, and Olise would clearly be an ideal like-for-like replacement.
TEAMtalk have linked the 24-year-old with LFC, though they also suggested the player himself would favour moving to Spain in the future if it came to leaving the Allianz Arena.
