Leeds United push for Mykhailo Mudryk as Chelsea reject loan proposal

Leeds United are pushing to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on loan after seeing an initial proposal rejected by the West London club.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Mudryk’s situation, confirming that the Ukraine international is “100% expected to leave Chelsea on loan” before the transfer window closes.

Romano revealed that Leeds are actively working to secure the 25-year-old’s signature as Daniel Farke looks to add further attacking quality to his squad.

However, Chelsea have rejected Leeds’ opening proposal for a straight loan, with negotiations continuing between the two clubs over a potential agreement.

The Yorkshire club remain keen on the move and are now attempting to find a structure that satisfies Chelsea’s demands.

Chelsea prefer Strasbourg loan but Mudryk wants to stay in Premier League

Chelsea would reportedly prefer to send Mudryk to Strasbourg, with the Ligue 1 club also part of the BlueCo ownership group.

However, Mudryk’s preference could play a major role in determining his next destination.

The Ukrainian winger reportedly wants to remain in the Premier League, making a move to Leeds an attractive option as he looks to revive his career in English football.

Leeds therefore remain in talks with Chelsea as they attempt to negotiate acceptable loan terms, including the division of Mudryk’s salary.

With the player seemingly favoring a move to Elland Road, the Premier League newcomers could have an important advantage in the race for his signature.
