Manchester United have completed a long-awaited deal for Carlos Baleba, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirming that the Brighton midfielder is set to join the Red Devils.
Romano announced the transfer on X with his trademark “Here We Go” confirmation, bringing an end to United’s long-standing pursuit of the 22-year-old Cameroon international.

Romano confirmed that Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement with Brighton after submitting an improved offer for Baleba.
United initially saw a £65 million package rejected by the Seagulls before returning with an improved proposal worth £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Man United came close to signing Baleba last summer
The move brings an end to a year-long pursuit for the 22-year-old Cameroonian international.
United originally made advances for Baleba during the 2025 summer window, agreeing to personal terms before Brighton priced them out of a move.
