Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal target and Atlético Madrid forward Jorge Domínguez, as per TEAMtalk.
After coming through Los Rojiblancos’ youth system, the 16-year-old made his first-team debut against Málaga in the opening La Liga game of this season. He helped his side win the game 2-0 and kept a clean sheet.
TEAMtalk claim that the youngster’s recent development hasn’t gone unnoticed, as he has managed to place himself on the radar of several big clubs across Europe. Chelsea have been impressed by him and could make a move in the future.
Moreover, Manchester City have been attracted by him. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also in this race and are monitoring his development closely before making a potential move.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta held talks with Atlético Madrid to sign Julián Álvarez this summer, and during those meetings, he asked about Domínguez.
However, the report state that Atlético Madrid see Domínguez as a key player for their long-term future, so they have no intention of letting him leave and turned down the Gunners’ approach.
Domínguez is a 6ft 4in tall right-footed centre-back but can provide cover in the right-back position if needed. He is quick, strong, good in the air, and composed with possession. Moreover, he is efficient in defensive contributions.

Chelsea mainly focused on signing highly talented youngsters since Todd Boehly’s takeover but decided to change their transfer strategy after appointing Xabi Alonso this summer.
