Following a humiliating string of results, including an agonising 1-0 defeat to Manchester United that marked their fourth consecutive Premier League game without scoring a single goal, the atmosphere in West London has turned incredibly toxic.

Now, according to Football Insider, the Blues are ready to show confidence in the young manager and they feel that he needs a proper pre-season to stamp his authority on the squad.

Chelsea continue to support Liam Rosenior

Despite being known for being ruthless and impatient, the Chelsea hierarchy have decided to support the struggling manager.

Chelsea’s current form is historically awful. You have to look all the way back to 1998 to find the last time the Blues suffered four straight league defeats without finding the back of the net.

Add a brutal 8-2 aggregate thrashing by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 into the mix, it would be normal for them to consider ending Rosenior’s time at the club.

However, they still feel that the manager is young and needs more time to prove himself and they are ready to provide him with the resources to succeed at the club.
