Bernardo Silva will be leaving Manchester City upon the expiration of his contract at the end of the season, and according to AS, Jorge Mendes, his representative, has offered the services of the Portuguese midfielder to Real Madrid.
At Real, they appreciate Silva’s football qualities greatly. Their team has faced him on many occasions in the Champions League, with different outcomes, and they find the fact that the 31-year-old has played 46 times for City this season already impressive – it tells them that his form hasn’t dwindled at all.
However, Silva was not a part of the plan at Real Madrid before the offer came and that has not changed – at this point, the Spanish giants have no intention of signing him.
Real have arguably been lacking proper experience and leadership in the middle of the park since the era of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric ended, and Silva would most likely be a great asset in that area. But it seems his links with Barcelona, frequent over the last few years, are a factor for Los Blancos.
