Arsenal told no chance for Serie A star

Arsenal’s search for a left-sided attacker has met firm resistance, with Juventus making it clear that Kenan Yildiz is not for sale. According to Metro, the north London club explored the possibility of signing the Turkey international after missing out on Vinicius Junior earlier in the window, but the Italian side have shut the door.

Yildiz has rapidly grown into one of the most admired young forwards in Europe. After landing Serie A’s Rising Star award last season, he emerged as a natural target for clubs seeking elite-level upside and versatility in the final third. Arsenal’s interest makes obvious sense in that context, especially given their continued focus on adding quality from the left.

Luciano Spalletti did not leave room for ambiguity when asked about the player’s future before Juventus’ opening Serie A fixture against Frosinone. “I’m comfortable with this situation because the player is Yildiz,” Spalletti replied.

He then underlined the club’s confidence in both the player and their position, adding: “From my point of view, it’s easy… they can offer whatever they want, but I want to play him next season. And he’s the perfect guy to have these discussions like a mature person, and as a result, he knows full well that he shouldn’t rush anything.

“His future is already important at Juventus. It’s not important because there’s a club that can spend £100 million for him. He’s already at the club that’s offering £100 million for him.

“We’re all very calm and eager, both ourselves and the player, to showcase the full potential of a potential football phenomenon. And so are the fans.”
