The win was a massive statement, keeping the Gunners right at the summit of the Premier League with 76 points and establishing a crucial six-point gap over a relentless Manchester City side.

While striker Viktor Gyökeres secured an impressive brace with goals on either side of the half-time break, it was Bukayo Saka’s fine strike that truly captured everyone’s attention.

The sheer quality of Saka’s performance certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

Gary Neville praises Arsenal star Bukayo Saka

Speaking on on NBC Sports, Manchester United legend Gary Neville was quick to dish out the plaudits.

While Neville has occasionally been critical of Arsenal’s attacking fluidity this season, he couldn’t help but rave about the winger’s top-class impact and backed the team for Premier League glory.

He said: “They looked like they had a little bit of something back with Saka on that right-hand side. Madueke’s a very good player, but Saka’s top-class. It was a very day for Arsenal. They have got to wait and watch Manchester City.”

Neville observed that while Arteta will naturally be thrilled with the comfortable three points, the demanding manager might actually be slightly frustrated that they didn’t score even more to pad their crucial goal difference.

“He will be pleased with the victory and must remind the players to capitalize on their opportunities and be clinical and ruthless,” Neville said.
