Arsenal ready to pay £34m to sign World Cup star

Arsenal’s search for added thrust in the final third appears to be accelerating, with Antonio Nusa now under serious consideration as Mikel Arteta looks to reshape his forward options before the new season. At 21, he is already attracting attention for his “explosive dribbling, positional flexibility and considerable resale potential”. Arsenal’s interest has been sharpened further by his international displays for Norway, where he helped his country reach the quarter-finals and produced “one of the tournament’s memorable individual moments with a brilliant goal against Ivory Coast”.

Those close to the market believe Nusa is seen internally as “a possible long-term solution on the left”. That said, Arsenal are not alone. Newcastle, Juventus and other European clubs are also monitoring the situation, which naturally strengthens Leipzig’s hand.
