Arsenal and Chelsea are ranked second and fifth in the Premier League standings, respectively, and are among the top contenders to qualify for the Champions League next year. It is likely that both sides will also look to revamp their attack at that time.
Ekrem Konur has reported that the London duo are interested in acquiring Paris Saint-Germain forward Desire Doue, who has four goals and four assists in all competitions for Luis Enrique’s side this season.
While Arsenal’s offensive department has misfired this season, Chelsea don’t have adequate depth up top. As a result, the Premier League giants showing interest in Doue’s services is not a surprise, but they will need to pay a huge sum for his purchase.
On Transfermarkt, Doue’s valuation stands at £100 million. However, given his recent form and important role in helping PSG win two Champions League titles, it is likely the Ligue 1 side will ask for significantly higher money for his sale.

Paris Saint-Germain are in contract talks with Desire Doue, as per Ekrem Konur, but that’s not to say the door on him joining Arsenal or Chelsea is permanently shut, especially if the Frenchman wishes to pursue a new challenge.
Having won everything possible with PSG, the 20-year-old could be open to moving to an English club next. If he decides to leave the French capital, Luis Enrique is unlikely to stand in his way, while the Parisians have enough in the bank to replace him too.
Desire Doue’s addition would be a massive advantage for Arsenal as well as Chelsea, but for the time being, it is fair to believe the Gunners have a stronger chance at his purchase as they are already looking for a left winger’s acquisition.
In saying that, it is unlikely that Chelsea would be prepared to spend a nine-figure sum on Doue’s purchase having already signed Morgan Rogers earlier this year. As such, a large chunk of their investment next year could be on their defence and midfield.
