Forest Find Stability
Nottingham Forest appear ready to choose continuity after a season defined by turbulence, tension and eventual relief. According to Sky Sports, the club are in talks with Vitor Pereira over a contract extension, with his current deal due to expire next summer.
Sky Sports report: “Nottingham Forest are in talks with Vitor Pereira to extend his contract, with his current deal expiring next summer.”
That sentence carries significance beyond paperwork. Forest have spent too much of this campaign lurching between managerial changes, uncertainty and relegation anxiety. Pereira’s arrival in February brought structure, energy and enough results to secure Premier League safety.
For a club desperate to move beyond survival mode, keeping him feels like a sensible first step.
Pereira Impact Clear
Pereira replaced Sean Dyche at the City Ground with Forest sitting 17th, only three points above the relegation zone. That was not a position for theory or vanity. It demanded immediate authority, clear communication and players willing to respond.
Since taking charge, Pereira has overseen 18 matches, winning eight, drawing five and losing five. That record reflects more than a bounce. It speaks to organisation, belief and a dressing room that appears to have bought into his methods.
Sky Sports state: “Sky Sports News understands the club’s hierarchy and players have been impressed with his methods, manner and results since he joined the club in February.”
That line matters. Managers survive in the Premier League through more than tactics. They need presence. They need buy in from senior players, trust from owners and credibility with supporters.

Summer Planning Begins
Sky Sports also report: “It is understood that the clubs’ plans for next season are in full swing after securing Premier League safety, and they want Pereira to be at the heart of developing the squad.”
That is the key phrase. Forest are not merely rewarding…
