Aston Villa’s recnt threats of a legal challenge have been mocked by Betfair.
Spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: ‘At Betfair we know that in football, everyone’s got an opinion, that’s partly what makes it the beautiful game.
‘Matchday wouldn’t be the same without the age-old debates: was it a foul? Was that handball? Who’s the bigger club?”
‘Asking people in Manchester their thoughts on United and Villa, we thought it best to play it safe, but we’ll let you fill in the blanks.
‘Legally, no football club is bigger than Aston Villa. But we might have a clearer picture on who’s bigger on the pitch at 6:30pm this evening.’
