Bournemouth have placed a valuation in excess of £100m on England international midfielder Alex Scott amid interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, according to Football Insider.
Scott has been one of the most coveted midfielders in recent transfer windows, and unsurprisingly so, given his reputable performances for Bournemouth, especially this season, where he has made 7.26 recoveries per game.
The 23-year-old is five games short of 100 appearances for the Cherries, underscoring his importance and indispensability to the team since arriving from Bristol City in the summer of 2023.
Scott stood out last season, featuring in 37 of 38 Premier League games for then-Andoni Iraola’s side as they finished sixth and achieved historic European qualification for the Europa League for the first time in the club’s 127-year history, as well as their highest-ever Premier League finish.
At international level, the 23-year-old has earned two caps for England and received glowing praise from Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel, who described him as a ‘complete package’ after he impressed on his debut against Croatia.
Scott is expected to be a major target in 2027, with reports via Football Talk revealing that Chelsea and Liverpool are in the race to sign the Englishman.
Now, amid what reportedly seems to be a stalemate in contract extension talks, Football Insider, in a fresh update, claims Bournemouth are expected to demand a fee above £100m to sanction Scott’s departure.

The report adds that the Reds are closely monitoring the 23-year-old ahead of a potential move, while the Blues are also in the running for his signature.
Providing more detail, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, said Scott’s valuation has risen, and a deal would be difficult in the January transfer window.
He said, ‘Interest is always going to remain in someone like Alex Scott, and probably his stock is even higher right now following his recent displays for England against Croatia.’
‘It’s a difficult deal to do in January because of the price tag, and it’s probably more likely to go…
