Liverpool’s search for attacking reinforcements appears to be widening in the final phase of the window, with Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling now firmly on the club’s radar. According to Patrik Berger of Sky Germany, the Reds are among several clubs monitoring the Germany international, with Roma, Everton and Inter Milan also in the mix.
The timing is significant. Andoni Iraola has inherited a squad still adapting to a new cycle, and Liverpool’s early-season results have only sharpened the focus on recruitment. Draws against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have underlined a lack of control in key moments, while the attack remains in transition following Mohamed Salah’s exit earlier this summer.
Liverpool have already moved decisively in one area, agreeing a £120 million deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola. Yet that does not appear to have ended the work being done on wide options. The right flank, in particular, continues to look like a position of active interest, and Leweling is understood to be viewed as a profile worth close attention.

Leweling’s appeal is not difficult to understand. The 25-year-old has developed well at Stuttgart since joining from Union Berlin in 2024, adding end product and tactical flexibility to his game. He can operate from either wing and also drift into central attacking areas, a trait that would carry value in Iraola’s fluid front line.
