Yunus Musah Arsenal Chelsea transfer battle

Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs eyeing up a potential transfer move for Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, who could be on the move in the summer.

The talented 20-year-old has impressed in La Liga, having had a spell at Arsenal’s academy earlier in his career until he decided to try his luck with a move to Spain.

Now Fabrizio Romano has suggested Musah could be on the move back to London, with Arsenal and Chelsea interested in the USA international, who could cost around €40million.

Writing in the Daily Briefing exclusively for CaughtOffside, Romano said: “Onto other possible targets, a summer move is very possible for Yunus Musah.

“Inter, Chelsea and Arsenal are following him closely, but then it’s still January so let’s see if some other clubs will join the race in the next months.

“His price was around €40m in December but let’s see in the summer, too early to say now.”

Musah looks a hugely promising young talent in midfield, and there’s surely room for someone like him at the Emirates Stadium or Stamford Bridge.

Still, as Romano notes, Inter Milan are also eyeing the youngster, and it may be that he’ll once again look for a new challenge in another league, rather than returning to England.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been battling over the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk, and it will be intriguing to see if we witness another scrap for Musah’s signature in the coming months.
