West Ham United earned yet another fine point today, despite a feeling that they could have had more.
Chelsea boast a richly talented squad full of big names acquired for mouth-watering fees, although they have struggled of late, winning just once so far in 2023.
This game represented a fine opportunity for the Irons to snatch all three points, and although Tomas Soucek thought he might have done in the closing stages until his goal was chalked off by VAR, David Moyes was forced to settle for just one.
It could be all-important in their fight for Premier League survival, but if they want to be aiming higher, they will require more from their marquee players such as Jarrod Bowen, who turned in another disappointing performance today.

How did Bowen play against Chelsea?
Starting in his usual berth on the right of the front three, the Englishman would have been hoping to impress the onlooking Gareth Southgate and prove why his omission from the World Cup squad was unwarranted.
However, the 26-year-old struggled to truly exert his influence on the game, and as such his level dipped.

He only received a 6.8 Sofascore rating, which is quite low given that he was credited with an assist for Emerson Palmieri’s equaliser. His neat flick-on found the Italian at the back post, but it was hardly a moment of magic.
Whilst a player who recorded 13 assists last season could be expected to create chances in those moments, he struggled with the ball at his feet to beat his man and forge opportunities. As such, he was unsuccessful in all three of his attempted dribbles and only completed two of his seven attempted crosses (via Sofascore).
Normally a potent goal threat too…
