This has been suggested by the reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold who has been assessing Tottenham’s options ahead of the Tuesday transfer deadline.
Fabio Paratici’s main target for the month has been to improve Antonio Conte’s options at right wing-back with Pedro Porro reported as their number one target in that area.
However, it was also suggested the Lilywhites have been making some enquiries about the possibility of bringing in another centre-back.

“Often Monday night is when these like late deals start to kind of rear their head as a possibility. And then on Tuesday, sometimes you get the odd frantic one towards the end that wasn’t even considered. So I wouldn’t rule it out entirely.”
Spurs have left it late again this year as they did in the previous January transfer window with their only signing through the doors so far being Arnaut Danjuma.
And it was a similar story last year with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur both arriving at Hotspur Way on deadline day.
