Qatar will make a new takeover offer

Cheick Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, cousin of the owner of PSG, will make a second offer as part of the takeover of Manchester United. This Thursday, representatives of the Qatari Sheikh were present in Manchester, and were able to hold “positive and constructive talks” with their English counterparts – the Glazer family, owner of the club, not being present -, revealed the agency of press Associated Press.

THE DailyMail reports that the interviews would have lasted more than 10 hours, and that the Cheick would now have ten days to formulate a takeover offer. If Sir Jim Ratcliffe, boss of Ineos, still intends to acquire the English club in the form of a majority shareholding, Qatar is still considering the full takeover of the club.
