OM go to arm wrestling for 10M€

While OM seems to have definitively abandoned the Terem Moffi file, the future of Bamba Dieng is still at the heart of the Marseille transfer window. A real standoff would be engaged between OM and Bamba Dieng. The striker is in Lorient and wishes to commit there but OM do not intend to sell off their price and are demanding 10M€. The Hake offer is currently insufficient for the Marseille management, which has other offers from England.

Never Bamba Dieng has not managed to really convince Igor Tudor since the arrival of the Croatian tactician on the Marseille bench at the start of the season. The Senegalese striker has been relegated to the scoring hierarchy and, lacking playing time, now wants to get back on track Lorient. OM is not against this departure, but on the only condition that the Hakes offer 10M€ to recruit the African champion.

Dieng wants to commit to Lorient

While he had his medical examination on Tuesday at Lorient, Bamba Dieng is determined to get involved. As explained RMC Sportsthe attacker and his agent passed the message to Pablo Longoria. Bamba Dieng wishes to relaunch with the Hakes after a start to the season where he has considerably lacked playing time. Even if the relations between Lorient and OM are good in this matter, an agreement remains to be found.

OM claim €10m

Under contract until June 2024, the market value of Bamba Dieng is €8 million according to Transfermarkt. To separate from his attacker, OM would claim 10M€ according to RMC Sports. For the moment, the Hakes’ offer has not reached this amount and they should soon submit a new one to Pablo Longoria. The Spaniard won’t back down, especially as he has several options in England. Moreover, he fears that the FC Lorient does not try to reduce the price of the transfer taking into account a particularity detected in the knee of the Senegalese during his medical examination.
