Everton became the first Premier League to be knocked out of the FA Cup as they lost 3-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday night.
The Toffees were part of the opening match of the gameweek in the third round of the cup competition and will not be involved in the fourth as they were beaten for the third time in four matches in all competitions.

Frank Lampard’s side got off to the worst possible start as Marcus Rashford skinned Ben Godfrey in the box before lashing the ball across goal for Antony to tap into an empty net after four minutes.
However, it only took ten minutes for the away side to fashion an equaliser as a horrific error from Red Devils goalkeeper David De Gea allowed Conor Coady to convert from almost on the goal line.

Rashford turned provider again for Erik ten Hag’s side at the start of the second half as he brilliantly created space on the left of the box before dribbling a cross in that forced Coady to outstretch a leg and deflect the ball into his own net.
The game was then wrapped up in the final minute of the match as Rashford converted from the penalty spot after a foul from Ben Godfrey in the box on Alejandro Garnacho.
Whilst Coady’s own goal put his team behind and allowed United to regain control of the match, Vitaliy Mykolenko was the real villain of the night for Lampard as he put in a poor display at left-back for the Toffees.
The £58k-per-week Ukrainian international was beaten all ends up by United’s forwards throughout the game…
