Mercato: PSG pushes a star out

Confined to a luxury understudy role this season at PSG, Keylor Navas finds himself barred by Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Costa Rican goalkeeper still retains a very high salary, which therefore encourages the Parisian management to consider parting with the former Real Madrid player before the end of the transfer window.

Upon his arrival at the head of PSG last July, Christophe Galtier made a strong decision about goalkeepers. Unlike its predecessor Mauricio Pochettino who had established an alternation, the French technician opted for a clear hierarchy.

Navas relegated to the background

Gianluigi Donnarumma has therefore chained meetings since the start of the season with the PSGwhile Keylor Navas was only entitled to his first minutes of play on Friday evening in the Coupe de France, at Chateauroux. A situation which therefore pushes him more than ever towards the exit despite a contract which runs until 2024.

PSG wants to let go

As L’EQUIPE announced on Friday, the management of the PSG hope to be able to sell Keylor Navas before the end of transfer window winter, especially since his imposing salary (1 million euros gross per month) weighs on the club’s finances.
