Manchester United are considering a lucrative swoop for Tottenham Hotspur‘s striking sensation Harry Kane, with a move potentially forthcoming this year…
What’s the word?
With Erik ten Hag looking to rejuvenate Old Trafford following years of instability, a signing of Kane’s calibre could serve as a the catalyst for a new prosperous era, with ESPN stating that the Red Devils are touting the 29-year-old as the long-term solution to United’s centre-forward conundrum.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has claimed that the esteemed England captain will be enticed by the prospect of moving to the likes of the Red Devils to compete for trophies at the highest level, and as such could be prompted to make the switch should the opportunity arise.
He said: “I’d keep an eye on the Harry Kane situation. Again, I think that will depend on the ownership model, although, in fairness, the Man United owners did invest quite heavily last summer.

“But Kane will have a year left on his contract and he’s proven in the Premier League. I think he’d want to go to a club where he’s got a chance of winning silverware.
“Arguably, United are in a better place to do that than Tottenham. I’d definitely keep an eye on that one.”
Rooney 2.0
A Tottenham player for the entirety of his professional career – barring a few loan spells before breaking into Spurs’ first-team – Kane is yet to win team silverware, with the north London club bereft of major honours since winning the League Cup in 2008.
Over the course of his career, the “goalscoring machine” – as once lauded by Gary Lineker – has netted 265 goals and provided 62 assists in 412 appearances for his club. He has scored 198 times in the Premier League, behind only the iconic Alan Shearer (260) and Wayne Rooney (208) in the all-time charts.
