Manchester United are receiving interest from Qatar Sports Investments over a potential minority investment in the Red Devils amid the ongoing Glazers debacle.
What’s the latest?
Reports have emerged suggesting United are potentially set to receive a mega-money offer from Qatari investors before the deadline set this month.
It is believed the Glazer family are looking for an offer in the region of £6bn to sell the club, however, it has been suggested the Qatari investors are only looking for a minority share in the club.
United are not the only Premier League side to have received interest from Qatari investment this year with Tottenham Hotspur also believed to have held meetings over a possible deal.

But speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the interest coming from Qatar is true and the club are exploring the potential suitors:
“We can confirm that there is concrete interest from Qatari group. It’s true. They are exploring the conditions of Manchester United deal with the Glazers family, of course, with intermediaries and legal people to take care of the process. But they are exploring the conditions of this potential deal.”

It will be interesting to see how many United fans would be in favour of the potential investment from Qatar as a result of the issues they would carry over with them.
We have recently seen how the Qatar World Cup unearthed numerous human rights issues relating to the host nation which caused a lot of controversies.
