Zapping World Eleven EXCLUDED: Jonathan Clauss’ “Little Brother” interview!
After Adrien Thomasson, Racing Club de Strasbourg could lose a second important player this winter. According to Foot 24hfootnews, central defender Alexander Djiku is popular in Spain. Sevilla FC would be very interested in his profile to the point of making an offer to Alsatian leaders. The Ghanaian international (20 caps, 1 goal) will be at the end of his contract next June but the Andalusians would like to attract him from this month of January in order to get ahead of the strong English, German and Spanish competition. Discussions between Racing and Sevilla will continue to perhaps reach an agreement.

A safe bet in Ligue 1
In Strasbourg for four years, Djiku is a reliable defender of the French championship. This season, he has played 18 of his team’s 19 games in Ligue 1, scoring one goal. The Black Stars defender might be tempted to look elsewhere after having spent his entire career in France (Bastia, Caen). At 28, it’s probably the right time for him as Strasbourg will fight to the end to maintain it. Precisely, the Alsatians will need Djiku to achieve their goal and could therefore retain him. Unless they give in to Spanish advances with a view to recovering a few million thanks to his departure.
