Tottenham boss Thomas Frank earned a much-needed 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League – though the victory was somewhat soured by yet another injury setback.
Frank’s position as Spurs boss had been under scrutiny recently. After a shock 2-1 home loss to relegation-threatened West Ham prompted chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning”, some Tottenham fans have grown impatient with the Dane.
However, Spurs were much improved in the Champions League against Dortmund, as goals from Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke helped ease the pressure on the Danish manager.

It marked a frustrating moment in what was otherwise a positive night for Tottenham, who moved closer to securing a top-eight finish in the Champions League.
In what is believed to be an ankle injury, the incident was doubly frustrating for the talented Swede, who had only recently returned from another spell on the sidelines.
Thomas Frank issues Lucas Bergvall injury update
Spurs will be hoping fitness issues do not become a recurring theme for a man who has shown a lot of potential during his time in North London.
Bergvall has already spent a total of one month in the treatment room this season, and with Thomas Frank’s squad already stretched, another serious injury is the last thing they need.
Speaking about Bergvall after the game, Frank told TNT Sport: “It was a contact (injury), and they are assessing him now, so we will know more on…
