According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have initiated talks with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva over the possibility of the Portuguese attacking midfielder joining them as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of this season. However, the Serie A giants face serious competition from Galatasaray and Inter Miami for the services of the 31-year-old.
Silva joined City from AS Monaco in 2017 for €50million, and has gone on to make a total of 445 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, scoring 75 goals and producing 77 assists. He’s won the Premier League six times, the Champions League in 2023 and the FIFA Club World Cup the following year, two FA Cups, and four Carabao Cup trophies.
He was linked with Barcelona several times in the past, and it would hardly come as a surprise if the Catalans express their interest again – a proven winner like Bernardo Silva on a free transfer would certainly be an appealing prospect, given their extensively reported financial issues.
