Tiktok terrorist who prayed for British soldiers to be slaughtered is being housed in £300,000 three-bed council flat in north London

A convicted terrorist who called for the slaughter of British troops is radicalising teens on TikTok from a three-bed council-owned flat, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, 43, a former right-hand man of hate preacher Anjem Choudary, was jailed for four years in 2007 after demanding that soldiers return from Iraq in body bags and shouting: ‘We want to see their blood running in the streets of Baghdad.’

He was convicted for a second time in 2016 after pledging allegiance to Islamic State, alongside Choudary, who is now serving a life sentence for directing a terror group Al-Mujajiron.

But since his release the terrorist has received heavily subsidised accommodation in a £300,000 home in north London just yards away from a number of primary schools.

Despite his convictions, Rahman, who writes under the alias Abu Baraa, had fourteen texts on Islamic fundamentalism which were listed for sale by Britain’s biggest high street bookseller Waterstones.

And Rahman, who has raged about Britain being part of an ‘axis of evil’ with the USA and Israel, labelled Muslim police ‘greedy sinners’ and told Muslims not to vote, has been using his Enfield base to deliver ‘highly toxic’ anti-British rants to impressionable teenagers on TikTok.

The father of four, an accountant who also runs a ‘consultancy,’ specialising in cultural education, has seen his books recently removed from Waterstones and TikTok’s online shop while they remain available on Amazon.

One book, What is Known from Islam by Necessity, contains passages inciting readers to train for Jihad, forbidding women from leaving their homes without their husbands’ permission and describing Jews as ‘disbelievers’ who are ‘destined for hellfire’.

It is based on lectures by Choudary and Omar Bakhri Mohammad, a radical cleric whose teachings are said to have inspired the killers of Fuselier Lee Rigby.

The book states that violent struggle against non-believers is mandatory for every able-bodied Muslim today, justified by the claim that their homelands are under occupation.

An entire chapter is devoted to ordering readers to train for combat, telling them that learning how to shoot and drive vehicles in preparation for holy war is a religious obligation.

It lays out how religious donations ought to be used, insisting that money must fund fighting non-believers rather than schools or places of worship

Another book, titled The Muslim Teachers Handbook, describes itself as a handbook for Muslim teachers to use for Islamic education for children as young as four.

It describes Jews and Christians as ‘corrupted’, says it is blasphemous to have diplomatic relations with Israel and encourages children to take up ‘jihad of the sword’.

Security experts have warned the Daily Mail he represents a ‘national security threat’ given his glorification of radical Islam to vulnerable young children.

A longtime associate of Choudary – labelled Britain’s most prolific Islamist terror radicaliser – Rahman is an internet expert who created private online chatrooms for the hate preacher’s followers.

He was seen leaving his flat last Friday afternoon before heading to his local mosque for afternoon prayers.

Wearing a white Adidas shirt, a white jacket and navy jogging bottoms, he clutched a bin bag and took a phone call before driving off.

Asked about the sale of his book, given his terrorist ties, he accused the Daily Mail reporters of being ‘extremists’ and denied being one himself.

That came despite his attempt to downplay the crimes of imprisoned Islamic extremists, who he said were merely jailed for ‘reading magazines and holding placards’.

Rahman was first arrested in 2007 when he was filmed at a rally talking over a loudspeaker and calling for UK soldiers to be slaughtered in Iraq.

He said: ‘We want to see their blood running in the streets of Baghdad.

‘We want to see the Mujahideen shoot down their planes the way we shoot down birds. We want to see their tanks burn in the way we burn their flags.’

He was imprisoned in 2016 but was freed in 2018. During his stint in jail he received a £1,300 compensation payment after complaining about a strip and search check at Belmarsh prison.

Since being freed the former al-Muhajiroun member has been using TikTok to broadcast his views to thousands of followers.

His account was deleted earlier this week but vowed to create a new one, claiming the ban ‘is not going to stop me’.

One video posted by Rahman last month was captioned ‘The Truth about Terrorism convictions’.

He said: ‘I would say even 100 per cent, but I am leaving that room just in case there is one case I do not know about.

‘I can’t think of a single terrorism case that involves a person who has killed another person.

‘I said this to a bunch of journalists. Initially, they all started laughing and saying, “what are you talking about?” I said, “well, show me, tell me?”

‘One said, “what about Michael Adebolajo?”

‘I said, “he is not convicted of terrorism he was convicted of murder.”

‘The people convicted of terrorism they are convicted of reading a magazine, the majority of them, others for protesting, hundreds were arrested in the protests against the genocide in Gaza, men, women, the elderly people, grey-haired, the disabled, because they put a placard up, saying ‘from the river to the sea’, something like that.

‘That’s terrorism – you understand.’

In the footage, he told followers: ‘They [terrorists] don’t mean violence. I would say 99 per cent of the people convicted of terrorism – their cases have nothing to do with violence.

In a second post also made last month Rahman criticised Muslims who sign up to work as police officers.

He explained to an associate, who claimed to have a friend who is ‘obsessed with joining the Met Police’: ‘Sometimes people’s greed and their hunger for money leads them to make compromises.

‘And those compromises, sometimes they can make you a sinner, and sometimes they make you kafir (non-believer or infidel).

‘If you are in a state where you don’t care what you do as long as you get the money then that’s what’s going to happen.’

He also blasted Britain for its role in the War on Terror in a video titled ‘False narratives of Islam are nothing new – War on Terror Post September 11th’.

He argued: ‘To borrow a term from (George) Bush there was this ‘axis of evil,’ this triangle of three major players, America, Britain, and Israel.

‘These are the ones that have the most to benefit from keeping Islamophobia alive.

‘They claim we are jealous of their way of life and that is why we are attacking them. It hasn’t anything to do with the genocides that they are committing, the wars that they are doing, it is all to do with ideology.

‘It is failed war propaganda that (has) failed over time.’

He went on to add that most of those convicted of terrorism in the UK were simply ‘curious teenagers’ who had ‘downloaded a magazine’ and ended up being ‘labelled a terrorist’.

Security expert Professor Anthony Glees, of the University of Buckingham, told the Mail: ‘He represents a serious national security threat. Many will be surprised that he is not locked up again.

‘Here you’ve got somebody who glorifies Islamist tenets and appeals in particular to a highly vulnerable younger age group and seems to me to be grooming them into the Islamist fold, and yet feels entirely safe flogging his books at Waterstones.’

He added: ‘His mission is to sweet talk impressionable Muslims into committing acts of violence against non-Muslims by insisting that Islamist jihadists are not terrorists or killers.

‘It’s highly toxic nonsense. Yet Rahman exploits a barmy logic that can all too easily appeal to the TikTok generation.

‘Let us hope the counter-terror cops act to stop Rahman now before it is too late.’

Rahman was previously one of three men jailed for six years in 2007 after being convicted of soliciting murder of western troops in Iraq.

The terrorist, then of Palmers Green, north London, had been filmed addressing a rally by loudspeaker, calling for UK soldiers to be brought back from Iraq in body bags.

He said: ‘We want to see their blood running in the streets of Baghdad.

‘We want to see the Mujahideen shoot down their planes the way we shoot down birds. We want to see their tanks burn in the way we burn their flags.’
