Arsenal have expressed a serious interest in signing Norwegian international winger Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
It appears Yan Diomande may have passed the baton of leading Leipzig’s attack to Nusa, as the youngster has been not only one of Leipzig’s best players but also one of the Bundesliga’s best wingers this season.
Prior to this campaign, the 21-year-old had been highly regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting prospects from his time at Club Brugge, where he set the record for the youngest Norwegian to play in the UEFA Champions League and the second-youngest to score in the competition at just 17 years, four months and 27 days.
He carried that excitement to Germany after Leipzig signed him in the summer of 2024, where he emerged as a revelation.
Described as ‘extraordinary’ by Manchester City forward and his Norwegian teammate Erling Haaland, Nusa is indeed living up to the extraordinary tag this season, where he’s on course to achieve his career-best record in goal contributions with ten in twelve games so far this season.
Such prolific displays will undoubtedly attract interest, with Tutomercatoweb reporting that Arsenal are showing a serious interest in signing Nusa from Leipzig.
Exciting forward
The report adds that the Premier League champions have earmarked the 21-year-old as a viable option to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s attack and are confident they can complete his transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal appear to be stepping up their efforts to sign him, as the Italian outlet adds that the Gunners have enquired about a potential deal and are willing to offer Leipzig £45m.
With Leipzig holding on to a £58m valuation, the Gunners are in talks over the possibility of raising their offer for the Norwegian international, who is also of keen interest to AS Roma, according to the report.
In the ongoing campaign, Nusa leads the Bundesliga chart for the most assists with five in seven games. His overall tally in the league is even more impressive, with eight goal contributions in 538 minutes.
He also leads the league in successful dribbles with 17, tied with his teammate Brajan…
