Newcastle United hold firm stance on Matthias Jaissle’s future after recent struggles

Newcastle United have made an early-season call on Matthias Jaissle, and for now it is one of patience rather than panic. According to TeamTalk, there is no immediate threat to the Newcastle head coach despite a difficult opening run that has left the club 11th in the Premier League table with eight points from seven matches.

There is also a longer-term argument being advanced inside the club. Those close to the situation believe Jaissle is “constructing something more coherent and exciting for the longer term,” which helps explain why the current run has “not yet triggered any serious concern inside the boardroom.”
