Celebrity Traitors star Miranda Hart channels her famous character as she recreates iconic gallop around the Scottish castle after roundtable

Celebrity Traitors star Miranda Hart recreated her famous BBC character’s gallop during Thursday night’s episode.

The comedian, 53, was overcome with joy as she left the roundtable trotting, after the celebrities banished Traitor, Hannah Fry.

Miranda channelled her famous 2009 sitcom character, who was known for being clumsy and socially awkward, by galloping through the Scottish castle with Sebastian Croft and King Kenny.

She said: ‘I’m on such a high. Oh my God, let’s do a gallop. We got rid of a Traitor!’

Kenny added: ‘Wait, wait I want to get involved!’

Despite James Blunt and Ross Kemp coming under fire at the roundtable, it was Hannah who was banished in a landslide vote with almost everyone.

She said: ‘This has been so much fun, I mean, chanting in the woods with Michael Sheen. Ross Kemp with a medieval battering ram. Jerry Hall with a crowbar. This is not how I expected my life to turn out!

‘I think the thing is I came in here with absolutely one job and one job only on my mind and that was to catch Traitors and I calculated every conceivable scenario except for the one that actually unfolded.

‘I am a Traitor!’

Claudia added: ‘A little statistic for you, in honour of Professor Fry. You have banished two Faithful and two Traitors. Well done, this game is hotting up.’

Elsewhere in the show, Rob Beckett was the latest Faithful to fall victim to the deadly trio, as Thursday’s show revealed he’d been murdered face-to-face.

The comedian fell victim to killers Maya Jama, James Acaster and Hannah Fry in a dramatic game of hide and seek, with even the comic stunned to see who was hidden behind the cloaks.

Rob discovered his fate while hiding in the crypt, meaning Ross Kemp, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Romesh Ranganathan were safe for another night.

James told Rob: ‘Rob Beckett you have been murdered’ with the funnyman bursting into laughter as he replied: ‘Thank you very much James Acaster.’

Rob then added: ‘Liberty innit. It’s over. I’m a dead man. In a way this is good news for the Faithfuls because I was nowhere near getting Maya and James.

‘No chance. It has been amazing and I will cherish my memories. However if I know one thing my boy Romesh will avenge my death and he will get them.’

As Rob’s death was revealed during breakfast the next morning, his longtime pal Romesh added: ‘It’s sad but you’ve got to look at the positive of these things, Rob’s not here.’

He told the camera: ‘I made a joke but the truth is I feel like I let Rob Beckett down because he is so unthreatening he was never going to get banished so he is the guy we should have given the key to and he is also one of my best friends. I’m sad, it’s not going to be the same without him.’

Speaking after his demise, Rob added: ‘If I know one thing, my boy Romesh will avenge my death, and he will get them.’

Host Claudia was quick to quip: ‘You could say Beckett has kicked the bucket,’ admitting the joke took her 45 minutes to come up with.

Elsewhere, with a landslide vote Hannah was banished during the roundtable.

Standing up in front of everyone, she said: ‘This has been so much fun, I mean, chanting in the woods with Michael Sheen. Ross Kemp with a medieval battering ram. Jerry Hall with a crowbar. This is not how I expected my life to turn out!

Traitor, Maya later added: ‘It is not looking good, I’m two down, this is not how it is supposed to be going.

‘I knew I had to write Hannah’s name on that slate, purely because the odds were against her. As much as she was convincing, there was too much confusion around it.

‘Hannah, my sweet angel, I’ve lost another Traitor tonight.’

Claudia said to the group: ‘A little statistic for you, in honour of Professor Fry. You have banished two Faithful and two Traitors. Well done, this game is hotting up.’

As they lost a traitor, Maya and James A decided to recruit King Kenny, who was left speechless by the invitation.

Debating whether to accept the invitation, Kenny said: ‘How can I go from being so gassed that I got a traitor out, to performing so good that the Traitors want me as part of their team.

‘I do worry that they could switch on me at any time and I feel like I’m going to absolutely crumble if I see that happening.’

As Maya and James removed their cloaks in the turret, Kenny’s jaw dropped, he said: ‘My heart is beating so fast.’

‘Just breathe, breathe,’ insisted Maya. ‘I’m sorry for lying! James is what we call a Faithful Traitor.’

Kenny replied: ‘Don’t do me dirty.’
