Agit Kabayel makes new Fury vs Joshua prediction after sparring both: “He only needs one hand”

Having shared rounds with both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Agit Kabayel can attest that one man is capable of ending a fight with just one hand.

As such, the WBC world champion is well-placed to predict their long-awaited showdown, which will finally take place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11.

Prior to them squaring off, many are viewing Fury as a sizable favourite on account of his respective points and stoppage victories over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach.

While neither was a particularly scintillating performance, the ‘Gypsy King’ nonetheless encountered minimal danger, whereas Joshua almost got stopped by Kristian Prenga in July.

It was in the very first round, in fact, that Prenga scored two knockdowns and threatened to scupper the Fury fight, only for ‘AJ’ to halt his man in the following three minutes.

In doing so, the 36-year-old showed serious signs of vulnerability but proved he still possesses knockout power, which makes him a dangerous underdog against the 38-year-old Fury.

Speaking with Ring Magazine, Kabayel acknowledged the venom in Joshua’s right hand, in particular, but decided the technical prowess of Fury should ultimately prove significant.

“The better boxing IQ [is with Fury], but only one guy [Joshua] in the heavyweight division can beat guys with one hand.

“This is a very interesting fight for the fans but, when I give prediction for the fight, I think Fury will win the fight [on] points or [by] KO. But we will see.”

Among others, Kabayel will be eager to face the winner of Fury-Joshua in a potential unification match, with the two British heavyweights expected to collide for the WBA ‘super’ title.
